Little Tatum has incredible eyes. Not only are they an amazing gray green color, they speak to her soul. This was shot through a lens that was in super thick humidity and a little foggy before it adjusted to the air. She looked into my camera and I couldn't resist snapping.

Motherhood

There is something very special about first-time mamas in the hospital with a baby. They are in complete awe over every single precious detail. Motherhood is one of my favorite things to capture, which is why I am FINALLY entering a photo in an iheartfaces contest!

Although I can only enter one photo (the one below) - I couldn't help but adding a few after the first that came to mind when I thought of motherhood. I could stay awake all night adding more, maybe tomorrow... :)

This little guy was born to rock (I say little, but he was 9+ lbs. when he was born - WOW!). I was soooo excited when his parents asked if I would take pictures of little JJ and dad's bass guitar! Once he was asleep, he let us move him all over the place - and was even up for putting his teeny tiny (again, I say teeny-tiny, but they were fabulously long for a newborn) fingers on the strings.

Thank you so much - it was a delight to spend time with you guys! JJ is such a handsome little rocker!

I couldn't finish up Paxton's shoot without posting a few more faves. What a cutie. The second pic here reminds me of a mini Polo model. Love it! I'm going to attempt to bring back the blog love. A bunch of my awesome clients got no blog love through the holidays :(
One more thing, can I just say how much I LOVE the Old Market - it was the second biggest reason I moved to Omaha :)

That's right, this is my little sister! In five minutes (or maybe less) of taking her photos on our trip to Salt Lake City, this is what we got. Are you kidding me? A far cry from my usual look - wet hair and cargo pants :) With her cascading locks and telling eyes, she's a photographer's dream. And, not only is she smokin', she's a super talented interior design student...(david bromstad watch out!). And, yes, as you can clearly see she's younger :) No undereye circles for her...yet. Just wait until you have babes, D. Love you!

Thanks to everyone for having patience with me getting shoots proofed right now - sick kids and my husband's bout of meningitis last week (no worries, he's much better now and was not contagious) put a bit of a wrench in the editing schedule. I'm on my way to getting caught up and am loving taking fun pics of so many gorgeous families right now. Here's one of my favorite families - the Shirks. You may recognize Maren's unbelievable eyes from pics I took of she and her parents before. Here are just a few of her at 18 months - the rest will come soon...I promise :)
